On the Come Up: Jordana Cosmetics Eye Primer

Greetings!

Today I have a review on the Jordana eye primer that I chronicled on my Cherry Culture Haul a little while ago, if you missed it, you can find it here.  First off, I want to start off saying that it was really an impulse buy in purchasing this, something that I'm trying to cease in 2012 but since this was at the end of 2011 when I got this, it isn't breaking my resolution for the new year.  ;)

Now, let's take a look at the goods:

The packaging is cute, it's a twist cap and isn't flimsy, thank goodness.  It has a clear top that allows you to look at the product just in case you might feel the need to take a peak at eye primer on those days when you get bored.....  The top has a cute lowercase with the best letter in the alphabet.  The bottom has the product name and the usual bar code and package weight.  It is plastic, durable enough not to break when it falls on the floor.

The consistency is creamy, not as creamy as the Maybelline 24 hour eye tattoos though, which isn't necessarily a good or bad thing, just an observation.  It reminds me of Urban Decay Primer Potion in consistency.  It dries down to a paste and pretty quickly too, now that's awesome.  There was no scent upon opening which is very much appreciated.

Here's a pic of how it holds up when an eyeshadow is applied:

I have been using this primer for the past three weeks instead of using MAC's paint pot in Groundwork and I must say that I didn't miss it.  They perform the same and for a fraction of the cost that is DAMN GOOD!  This primer is only $1.99 on Cherry Culture and that is a steal especially when you consider how well it performs.  I experienced no creasing after 9 hours of wear, and I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't even after that. 9 hours just happens to be the longest that I've worn it for.

I have no complaints on this product and I'm pleasantly surprised that it worked this well.  I would definitely recommend to everyone especially if you're on a shoe string budget, it performs just as well as the higher end brands and doesn't cost as much.

So, what do you think?  Is this on your next list of things to buy?
